critical Needs

Our pantry and soup kitchen need the following items at this time:  

  • Canned vegetables (15oz.): peas, carrots, and mixed veggies
  • masa harina
  • 1 or 2 lb. bags of rice
  • 1 or 2 lb. bags of dry beans
  • condensed soup (especially chicken noodle, vegetable, and tomato)
  • ready-to-serve soup (similar to Progresso or Chunky): any flavor
  • canned tomatoes (15oz.): any type 
  • canned fruit (15oz.): fruit cocktail and peaches
  • canned chicken

  • canned chili, pasta, beef stew, and Spam
  • cereal (hot and cold)
  • evaporated milk
  • macaroni and cheese
  • diapers (especially sizes 4, 5, and 6)
  • baby wipes
  • full-size toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, bars of soap, body lotion, and deodorant)
  • feminine pads
  • cases of bottled water (for bag lunches)


    Fish of Laurel started as a small food pantry in 1976. Today, more than 300 volunteers dedicate their time and talents to help those experiencing food insecurity in the greater Laurel area. Learn about our history and meet our all-volunteer board.
